Description

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
Deliver effective live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and grade assignments daily.
Track and maintain regular contact with each student.
Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
Review student-level data frequently to adjust instruction.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Use culturally responsive, research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
Participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips and attend in person.
Travel annually to support required face-to-face state testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Willingness to obtain teaching licenses in additional states.
Knowledge of state standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred: two years of teaching experience.
Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Preferred: experience working in a multicultural setting.
Open to residents of AL, FL, OH, OR, or TX.
