Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for virtual students.
  • Deliver effective live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
  • Complete course setup in the learning management system for each course.
  • Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student and communicate with stakeholders about progress.
  • Review student-level data frequently and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with academic leads to provide required school documentation.
  • Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices and 21st-century technology into daily instruction.
  • Implement school-wide culture expectations, norms, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Open to residents of Pennsylvania; Pennsylvania residency preferred.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred two years of teaching experience.
  • High comfort level working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
