Description

  • Provide end-to-end access and reimbursement support to healthcare providers for on-label patient access to ACADIA therapies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for access-related inquiries across providers, specialty pharmacies, payers, patients, hub services, and internal partners.
  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on access programs, coverage pathways, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy coordination, appeals, hub resources, and patient support services.
  • Proactively identify, prevent, and resolve access and reimbursement issues to improve the patient access journey and customer experience.
  • Build and maintain access-related relationships with healthcare provider accounts, office support staff, and pharmacy staff.
  • Provide pre-referral and post-referral educational in-services to reduce coverage barriers and support referral status monitoring.
  • Assist offices with reauthorizations, payer transitions, reimbursement, affordability options, and financial support pathways to minimize therapy interruptions.
  • Escalate local payer issues to National Account Managers and PAM Leads as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify complex access issues and communicate coverage status, prior authorization, and appeals updates.
  • Support national-level initiatives that improve access and reimbursement strategies and ensure appropriate, compliant use of patient support services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in life sciences preferred.
  • Advanced degree such as RN, MSN, or MBA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, market access, national accounts, or specialty pharmacy.
  • Deep expertise in access and reimbursement strategies.
  • Medicare expertise strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with provider offices, physician practices, patient assistance programs, or similar pharmaceutical support programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong track record of increased responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success leading without authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of HIPAA rules and patient privacy requirements.
  • Ability to manage expenses within allocated budgets.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Ability to work in a changing, field-based environment with high emotional intelligence and empathy.
