Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership and staff.
  • Promote Acadia products by delivering compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
  • Identify and address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced selling skills.
  • Develop deep knowledge of customers, practices, and local and regional market trends to inform business planning.
  • Create and execute quarterly territory business and action plans using data to maximize reach, frequency, and impact within budget.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC-specific profitability parameters and serve as a liaison for access-related questions.
  • Collaborate with sales management, territory teammates, and cross-functional partners in managed markets, marketing, operations, and training.
  • Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training sessions and contribute to regional and national initiatives.
  • Mentor and train new or junior Sales Specialists and share field insights on cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and LTC regulations affecting medication use and resident care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences preferred.
  • 1-2 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience for Sales Specialist level, with neuroscience preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare sales experience for Senior Specialist level, including 2+ years in complex or account-based selling.
  • 12+ years of healthcare sales experience for Executive Specialist level, including 3+ years in complex or account-based selling.
  • Advanced selling and negotiation skills with the ability to influence diverse healthcare professional audiences.
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and role-model capabilities at a regional level.
  • Strong business acumen, organization, self-motivation, and a business ownership mindset.
  • In-depth knowledge of neuroscience, LTC market dynamics, payer systems such as Part A and Part D, specialty distribution, and applicable LTC regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and WebEx.
  • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border, and be reasonably close to a major airport if required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to drive a company vehicle and travel independently by air.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours work.
  • Must meet vaccination and facility access requirements for customer visits and event participation.
