Description

  • Build storage and retrieval infrastructure for the Aggregates Platform.
  • Support ingestion pipelines and detection algorithms that process billions of data points per day.
  • Ensure the data architecture meets low-latency and large-scale performance requirements.
  • Improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across the platform.
  • Partner with customer teams to understand use cases and scale requirements.
  • Implement solutions that address customer needs at production scale.
  • Help hire and evaluate candidates through strong interview practices.
  • Assess technical skills, cultural fit, and likelihood of success during interviews.
  • Represent the team well in the hiring process and help attract strong candidates.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of overall software engineering experience.
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems and services at high scale, around billions of transactions per day.
  • Experience with streaming data systems such as Kafka, Spark, Map/Reduce, or similar tools.
  • Experience with large-scale data storage systems such as DynamoDB, Aerospike, Redis, or Databricks.
  • Strong sense of software development best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a distributed, remote team.
  • Comfort working in an environment with uncertainty and minimal upfront definition.
  • Willingness to take on work beyond a traditional backend role, including customer calls or frontend bug fixes.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $149,200 to $214,500 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.
