Description

  • Develop, edit, maintain, and publish cybersecurity, engineering, operations, and program-management documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts, requirements, designs, and SME input into clear, audience-appropriate materials.
  • Create SOPs, procedures, plans, reports, diagrams, templates, training materials, test documentation, and contract deliverables.
  • Maintain configuration items, baselines, revision histories, approvals, dependencies, and change records.
  • Manage a CMDB or comparable configuration repository and an organized, version-controlled artifact library.
  • Apply ITSM/ITIL practices, taxonomy, metadata, naming conventions, records management, and access controls.
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals with government stakeholders, engineers, architects, project managers, and technical SMEs.
  • Perform quality-control and Section 508 accessibility reviews before deliverable submission.
  • Document system configurations, architectures, workflows, interfaces, operational procedures, risks, and technical recommendations.
  • Support change control, knowledge management, transition activities, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical and project meetings, recording decisions, actions, risks, and required updates.
  • Travel onsite up to two times per year as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of IT experience, including 3 years of configuration management or technical editing experience in a large corporation or government agency.
  • A related IT master’s degree may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience.
  • Expertise in configuration management, change management, or related IT/software development roles.
  • Experience managing configuration items such as hardware, software, documentation, and technical deliverables.
  • Expertise documenting technical processes, system configurations, and change-management procedures.
  • Experience with ITSM frameworks and best practices, including ITIL, and maintaining a centralized CMDB.
  • Project-management or project-oriented experience in large enterprise or government environments.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related IT field preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include SecurityX/CASP+, CCISO, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCED, GCIH, GSLC, or CCNP Security.
  • Applicants may need to complete a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for classified-information access.
