Description

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to align testing and documentation priorities.
  • Drive execution by meeting service-level agreements, tracking performance metrics, and removing blockers.
  • Expand automated processes and help teams adopt software quality and documentation best practices.
  • Promote quality- and documentation-first practices across engineering.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test suites, manual testing practices, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate team priorities and ensure Test Engineers and Technical Writers understand project context and organizational impact.
  • Coach team members, conduct performance reviews, provide career guidance, and foster an inclusive work culture.

Requirements

  • Engineering experience in a technical management or leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience developing, designing, and reviewing applications using Go, Python, PHP, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Experience managing centralized service teams supporting multiple product teams, such as quality assurance or technical documentation.
  • Experience prioritizing work and managing expectations across diverse teams with varying goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
  • Track record of leading multicultural, remote, geographically distributed teams.
  • Technical background in manual or automated testing, or technical documentation.
  • Experience with open-source development methodologies and communities.
  • Experience improving testing and documentation practices at organizational scale.
  • Knowledge of E2E and visual regression automation tools, documentation-as-code tools such as Markdown, MediaWiki, or Wikimedia communities is preferred.
