Description

  • Independently guide the technical direction and implementation for the team within the defined architecture from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to ensure the right solution is delivered.
  • Create and lead technical documentation and repository management practices, including branches, pull requests, and merges.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on architecture oversight and dependencies that influence product strategy and direction.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor Senior Engineers and other team members through Communities of Practice or project teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and orchestration across tasks and teams to support client outcomes.
  • Help verify and validate architecture implementations and influence architectural decisions beyond the immediate team.
  • Support refinement of technical details, including definition of done, for user stories and task assignments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of web development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Python frameworks.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker.
  • Working knowledge of frontend development technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols.
  • High level of English proficiency for working with a globally distributed team.
  • Experience leading teams in Agile software development environments.
  • Demonstrated experience adapting high-level architecture to project and client needs.
  • Ability to verify and validate architecture implementations and influence architecture beyond the team.
  • Strong object-oriented programming expertise, with preferred experience in Python.
  • High-level design proficiency using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
  • Experience building well-tested, scalable, secure, and performant enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers.
  • Very good knowledge of architectural styles, design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP.
  • Experience integrating Customer Identity and Access Management solutions is desired.
  • Experience setting technical strategy across several teams or a whole product is desired.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines is desired.
  • Experience working with non-relational databases is desired.
  • Knowledge of building cloud-native applications is desired.
