Description

  • Oversee the development and implementation of front-end features and improvements in collaboration with Design, Product, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with other Tech Leads to support a cohesive and high-performing engineering organization.
  • Guide the development of new features so they align with the organisation’s Design System, UX strategy, and overall user experience.
  • Lead solutioning for complex feature requests and ensure alignment with architectural decisions.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for new feature development, including architectural considerations and technology strategy alignment.
  • Drive advanced testing practices and maintain high test coverage and reliability in line with QE standards.
  • Produce well-architected, efficient, and scalable code and model engineering best practices.
  • Mentor and support technical development within the team.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of the technology landscape and broader team responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with React.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Proficiency with front-end build tools.
  • Advanced understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID and DRY.
  • Understanding of APIs, data fetching strategies, and efficient client-server data flow.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to guide teams, make architectural decisions, and drive technical excellence.
  • Considerable experience in software development.
  • A team-player mindset with strong collaboration and participation habits.
  • Good written and spoken English for communication and presentations.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG (bonus).
  • Experience with PHP or related backend technologies (bonus).
  • Experience with enterprise-level solutions and large-scale system architectures (bonus).
  • Familiarity with Scrum or other agile development processes (bonus).
  • Experience with cloud computing (bonus).
  • Experience with Docker and containerisation (bonus).
  • Familiarity with best practices such as Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development (bonus).
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

  • Salary of £75,000 - £85,000.
