Description

  • Independently guide the technical direction and implementation for the team within the defined architecture from concept to deployment.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to choose the right solution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and repository management practices, including branches, pull requests, and merges.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on architecture, dependencies, and product direction.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and resolution of complex bugs with attention to security, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor senior engineers and other team members through Communities of Practice and project work.
  • Provide technical oversight to validate architecture implementations and influence architecture beyond the immediate team.
  • Support technical orchestration across user stories, task assignments, and definition of done.
  • Help set technical strategy and direct implementation across one or more teams when needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of web development experience.
  • Strong experience with Python and Python frameworks.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker.
  • Working knowledge of frontend development, including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with OAuth2 and OpenID Connect protocols.
  • High level of English proficiency for working with a globally distributed team.
  • Experience leading teams in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience following and adapting high-level architecture to project and client needs.
  • Ability to verify and validate architecture implementations and influence overall architecture beyond the team.
  • Strong object-oriented programming expertise, with preferred experience in Python.
  • High-level design proficiency using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
  • Experience building scalable, secure, performant enterprise systems.
  • Very good knowledge of architectural styles, design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP.
  • Experience integrating Customer Identity and Access Management solutions, preferred.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, preferred.
  • Experience with non-relational databases, preferred.
  • Knowledge of building cloud-native applications, preferred.
