Description

  • Write client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and high quality.
  • Use Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to identify security issues and drive remediation through triage, prioritization, verification, and fixes.
  • Provide status tracking, reporting, and effort estimation using project methods and tools.
  • Gather requirements, validate understanding across the team, and create and maintain documentation.
  • Work within the team’s current methodology and uphold quality standards throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions.
  • Own projects from technical design through successful launch.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain consistency and code quality.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with Python, REST APIs, and SQL.
  • Experience using Git source control tools such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Experience with unit testing using Pytest.
  • Intermediate design proficiency using UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
  • Experience engineering software systems of medium to large scope and complexity.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with relational databases.
  • Experience building frontend and backend applications at scale.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of Python web frameworks such as Flask (preferred).
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow or Automic Automation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Python package management tools such as UV or Conda (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HTTP and serialization formats such as JSON and XML (preferred).
  • Knowledge of SCA platforms such as GitHub Advanced Security, Snyk, or Checkmarx (preferred).
  • Understanding of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor (preferred).
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (preferred).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, and properties (preferred).
