Description

  • Design, build, and deploy intelligent backend services using Python and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Consume and process API outputs for data classification and extraction workflows.
  • Engineer and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines over SOPs to deliver contextual insights.
  • Integrate AI outputs directly into end-user workflows and case handling experiences.
  • Enforce redact-before-model practices to remove PII before data reaches foundation models.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business goals into technical AI solutions.
  • Identify and prototype AI-driven automation and product improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote secure, responsible AI engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot AI-specific issues such as prompt injection, model latency, and data leakage.
  • Own architecture decisions for agent orchestration, tool integration, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Design and implement evaluation frameworks for LLM and agentic systems.
  • Drive adoption of the agentic SDLC, including tooling, governance standards, and impact measurement.
  • Establish responsible AI guardrails, safety testing, human oversight, and model governance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2+ years building AI-driven applications with LLMs.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying LLM-based or agentic systems in production.
  • Experience with prompt design, retrieval architecture, and tool/function calling such as MCP.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting open-source and proprietary LLMs based on accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, and performance.
  • Knowledge of vector stores and embeddings, including tools such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
  • Strong Python skills for backend services and AI integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry to build, deploy, and manage AI models and agents.
  • Experience building complex API integrations for data ingestion, extraction, and classification.
  • Strong security engineering knowledge, including PII redaction, anonymization pipelines, and secure data handling in AI workflows.
  • Experience delivering well-tested, scalable, secure, and performant enterprise systems.
  • Strong track record working in Agile software development frameworks.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
  • High proficiency in English for working with global teams and client stakeholders.
  • Preferred: familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Preferred: exposure to Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud-native applications, infrastructure-as-code, and observability practices.
  • Preferred: experience with at least one cloud platform and CI/CD for ML such as GitHub Actions or MLflow.
  • Preferred: familiarity with emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF.
