Description

  • Assess existing data components and evaluate current-state architectures.
  • Translate business requirements into data requests, reports, dashboards, and end-to-end data solutions.
  • Define reference architectures and roadmaps for data architecture, data management, business intelligence, and analytics.
  • Design secure, scalable data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, data hubs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Develop ETL processes, automated data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Implement data validation processes and establish data quality standards.
  • Coordinate with business leaders, information management teams, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders on data-related needs.
  • Apply best practices for architecture, coding, API integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor junior team members, lead initiatives, and contribute to data offerings and practice growth.
  • Provide thought leadership by representing the practice or organization on internal and external platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience performing assessments, proof-of-concepts, and stakeholder consulting.
  • Strong database and data modeling concepts with exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to design large-scale data platforms and work with data lake and data warehouse architectures.
  • Expertise in designing and writing ETL processes in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake; experience with both is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as PySpark, Spark, Storm, HDFS, and Hive.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data engineering services.
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, DynamoDB, EMR, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, QuickSight, RDS, Kinesis, Managed Kafka, CloudWatch, and API Gateway, or Azure services such as ADF, Data Catalog, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, and Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Stitch, or Matillion is desired.
  • Experience with AWS IoT solutions, Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica is desired.
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies is desired.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of master data management and related tools.
