Description

  • Lead multiple teams and managers while maintaining team health, performance, alignment, and sustainable workloads.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback, development plans, and performance support.
  • Oversee staffing, resource alignment, promotion input, and compensation recommendations across teams.
  • Set and communicate practice priorities, organizational objectives, and expectations across the organization.
  • Lead architecture and technical strategy for large Azure programs across applications, platforms, and data.
  • Define modernization blueprints, reference architectures, patterns, and standards for scalable delivery and operations.
  • Translate business and product strategy into cloud roadmaps, execution plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Guide major architecture decisions, resolve technical trade-offs, and ensure cross-team integration and ownership boundaries.
  • Provide architectural oversight through design reviews, governance, and decision-making forums.
  • Represent the practice in executive and senior stakeholder conversations on modernization, platform strategy, AI adoption, and roadmaps.
  • Track risks, technical debt, quality trends, and architectural drift, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Grow the business by supporting pursuits, shaping solution options, creating estimates, and identifying follow-on opportunities.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience delivering solutions in application development, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or data and analytics, including enterprise-scale work.
  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading development or engineering teams, including multi-team or multi-workstream efforts.
  • Significant experience in data science, machine learning, and Azure data platforms, including 3–5 years in practice or portfolio leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in most of the following: Machine Learning & MLOps, Data Engineering & Integration, Statistical & Predictive Modeling, Generative & Agentic AI, Data Architecture & Governance, and Analytics & Visualization.
  • Experience with modern development and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Copilot, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Relevant Azure or Databricks certifications in Data, AI, or Architecture are preferred.
  • Proven experience leading Azure-based modernization, transformation, AI, or platform programs at enterprise scale.
  • Experience leading hybrid and remote teams across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
  • Strong understanding of core concepts, languages, frameworks, and design patterns in a primary domain at system and program scale.
  • Experience designing quality, automation, and observability practices at scale, including automated testing and delivery workflow integration.
  • Experience using AI-augmented development and integrating AI/ML capabilities into solutions.
  • Significant experience working in Agile or Scrum environments at scale, including backlog, dependency, integration, and release management.
  • Proven success in consulting or professional services, including client-facing leadership and executive engagement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant cloud architecture certifications such as Azure architect certifications or comparable role-based certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, as sponsorship is not available.
