Description

  • Set the technical vision and make key architectural decisions for AI features in 360Learning’s product.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of new AI features from technical design through production launch.
  • Contribute hands-on to existing features and stay close to the codebase.
  • Coach and mentor AI Engineers by identifying strengths, supporting growth, and unblocking challenges.
  • Serve as the squad’s technical point of contact and trusted engineering partner to Product and Design.
  • Optimize AI systems for cost, latency, reliability, and scalability under real-world usage constraints.
  • Lead performance reviews and career path assessments for AI Engineers.
  • Share best practices and drive process improvements across the AI Squad.
  • Prototype and ship advanced AI capabilities such as new modalities and real-time collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Full-Stack Developers on delivery and technical direction.

Requirements

  • 4+ years building GenAI or LLM-powered systems, with experience taking them from prototype to long-term production deployment.
  • Experience as a tech lead, mentor, or coach for a team of engineers, ideally on a SaaS platform.
  • Strong Python experience and a track record of writing clean, maintainable production code.
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Mistral.
  • Experience managing real-world AI constraints including token cost, latency, reliability, and hallucinations.
  • Familiarity with search, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, agents, LLM observability tools such as Langfuse, and model evaluation.
  • Solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals, including evaluation, experimentation, and model lifecycle.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives where performance, reliability, and accuracy are critical.
  • A product-oriented mindset with strong customer focus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent English (US/UK) or B2 level or equivalent in French.
