Description

  • Work with large amounts of player data to identify opportunities to improve the game experience.
  • Deliver analytics and data science projects aligned with product roadmaps and game goals.
  • Develop actionable insights that improve core game metrics.
  • Maintain source-of-truth data sources and dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Design, test, verify, and implement machine learning models and product features for Zynga games.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with game teams, product managers, game designers, and engineers to deliver business impact.
  • Put models into production and support maintainable solutions at scale.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field; Master's, MBA, or PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles.
  • Fluency in SQL.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with at least one visualization tool such as Tableau or QlikView.
  • Demonstrable experience with statistics, experimental design, machine learning, or deep learning.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets, preferably in a Hadoop or Spark environment.
  • Experience deploying production-ready systems at scale.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, analysts, and marketing.
  • Strong passion for gaming.
