Description

  • Produce publication-quality maps from field efforts and due-diligence work in a timely manner.
  • Perform project setup for fieldwork in ESRI FieldMaps.
  • Generate spatial calculations and package geospatial data for client deliverables.
  • Organize incoming geospatial and mapping requests and track production.
  • Maintain, update, create, and acquire internal and external GIS data.
  • Build and maintain data warehousing, data mining systems, and database library structures.
  • Ensure data integrity when integrating GIS data with other IT systems and databases.
  • Support data standardization, normalization, and geo-database conversions.
  • Explain GIS information to users, provide training, and advise on best practices.
  • Research, test, and recommend new GIS technologies and vendor solutions, and implement approved improvements.
  • Present at conferences, publish white papers, and participate in professional organizations to support thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in geospatial sciences, geography, biology, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing GIS analysis and/or modeling.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Desktop software.
  • High energy, passionate, results-oriented team player and resourceful leader.
  • Ability to effectively manage teams and communicate with clients.
  • Valid California Class C driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel to other BKF locations and client sites as needed.
