Description

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software developers within the Data Acquisition organization.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, AI/ML experts, healthcare providers, and support teams to define data acquisition use cases and required features or fixes.
  • Own the operational reliability of business-critical services used by customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with product management in Agile sprint planning and other sprint management rituals.
  • Contribute hands-on to Zus codebases as time allows.
  • Build tools that interact with external health data networks to collect patient information at high volume.
  • Develop and manage services that enable customers and internal users to request data.
  • Design, deploy, maintain, and operate data pipelines and RESTful services.
  • Help transform the team’s infrastructure to support next-generation healthcare data use cases.
  • Support growth in data partnerships and network interactions as an independent participant in healthcare data exchange.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience leading software engineers.
  • Experience building and running large-scale cloud systems.
  • Experience building services and APIs used by third-party developers.
  • Experience with operationally stable and cost-efficient data pipelines.
  • Experience owning complete microservices from infrastructure through application layers.
  • Deep backend software development experience in any language; Go experience is preferred and Node.js experience is also used.
  • Ability to work remotely in the U.S.; the company hires only in the U.S.
  • Comfort working across U.S. time zones and collaborating with partners in Central European Time.
  • Knowledge of application security (preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare data and APIs, including familiarity with FHIR and/or TEFCA standards (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the Boston office or travel occasionally for in-person collaboration (preferred).
