Description

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers, including setting expectations, coaching, and developing operating playbooks.
  • Recruit and onboard technical and commercial talent as the team scales.
  • Own solution design and technical architecture for complex healthcare prospects.
  • Create architectural diagrams and reference architectures that explain how Zus fits into a customer’s technical ecosystem.
  • Design and validate customer integrations using Zus APIs, healthcare data models, and interoperability standards.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex integrations, edge cases, and customer challenges.
  • Lead the technical pre-sales motion from discovery through proof-of-concept and handoff to post-sale teams.
  • Deliver technical demos and executive presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear, feasible technical proposals with defined success criteria.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to improve roadmap input, handoff quality, and go-to-market effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Implementation.
  • Experience in healthtech or healthcare data platforms.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a small technical team with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing solutions with RESTful APIs, FHIR, C-CDA, HL7, and EMR data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with complex healthcare data models.
  • Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end solutions that balance technical feasibility, customer needs, and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-first mindset and comfort building trusted technical partnerships.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and build structure in an early-stage environment.
  • Calm, adaptable approach to complex or high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare such as NLP, predictive analytics, intelligent document processing, or LLM-powered workflows (preferred).
  • Experience building or presenting AI-augmented product demos and proof-of-concepts (preferred).
  • Background with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and modern CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
  • Exposure to value-based care models, population health platforms, or payer-provider data exchange (preferred).
