Description

  • Guide discovery sessions for software configuration, custom development, and integrations.
  • Lead technical requirements gathering to analyze client needs, define project scope, and confirm solution viability.
  • Make configuration and design decisions based on client requirements.
  • Recommend software, process, and training approaches to help clients meet goals within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Educate and train clients on system functionality, including go-live stabilization and user proficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, and developers across development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Adapt delivery approach to changing project requirements and customer objectives in an agile environment.
  • Work in customized CRM environments with custom objects and workflows.
  • Support sales efforts by helping scope new projects, estimate costs, and contribute to client presentations.
  • Provide technical assistance and best-practice guidance to colleagues and engage with the higher education and nonprofit community.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in higher education advancement or development.
  • 5+ years of experience with nonprofit or higher education CRM systems such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, Ascend, or Affinaquest.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and leading technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of philanthropy practices and advancement services.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and organize tasks and decisions.
  • Ability to build consensus and communicate effectively with executives and senior-level staff.
  • Experience leading user training and testing.
  • Highly analytical and technically proficient, with the ability to learn new tools and software quickly.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Preferred experience as a consultant or with large database/CRM implementations.
  • Preferred familiarity with NPSP, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, UCI’s Ascend, or Affinaquest.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $125,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience.
