Description

  • Drive the technical roadmap and long-term architecture for the Enterprise Data Platform using Snowflake, dbt, Matillion DPC, and Streamlit.
  • Lead the central data team as it evolves into a self-service platform team while supporting critical organization-wide data initiatives.
  • Prepare central data and federated BI teams to become AI-ready by embedding AI into daily data analytics.
  • Design pipelines, analytics models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems to support AI-enabled data use cases.
  • Enable self-service and data mesh capabilities so business functions can build custom data models across foundational analytics layers.
  • Implement platform governance, observability, and cost attribution frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and prototype advanced workflows hands-on.
  • Develop AI/LLM-powered AIOps systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and grow data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering teams.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive alignment and support high-impact data initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience driving technical strategies to transition data structures into AI-ready units.
  • Hands-on knowledge of building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Graph RAG architectures.
  • Deep architectural and operational knowledge of Snowflake and dbt, including analytics engineering, modeling standards, and testing.
  • Practical experience implementing or operating within a self-service data platform environment and a Data Mesh architectural framework.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native ETL/ELT tools, preferably Matillion Data Productivity Cloud or similar.
  • Solid software engineering foundations in Python and SQL, including CI/CD, Git, and automated testing.
  • Extreme technical depth with the ability to dive into codebases, write complex models, and lead highly technical data implementations, preferred.
  • Experience leveraging advanced Snowflake AI capabilities such as Cortex or Snowpark, preferred.
  • Experience building custom data applications using Streamlit, preferred.
