Description

  • Design and build scalable platform services, web and mobile applications, and AI-powered workflows.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions around event-driven patterns, service boundaries, performance, and maintainability.
  • Use AI-accelerated developer tools to improve code generation, automated testing, and pipeline automation.
  • Help define greenfield technology choices, service design, and infrastructure strategy.
  • Apply security best practices across application, network, and infrastructure layers.
  • Partner with product to refine MVP scope, instrument features, and measure usage and ROI.
  • Improve SDLC practices, including testing, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, performance benchmarks, and developer experience.
  • Participate in the engineering recruiting process by evaluating technical candidates.
  • Foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and building scalable, performant systems across web, mobile, or backend services.
  • Experience using AI-enhanced development tools in day-to-day engineering workflows, including automated testing and CI/CD optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud architecture, including application infrastructure, networking, observability, and deployment strategies.
  • Solid understanding of architectural patterns such as event-driven systems, microservices, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
  • Working knowledge of application, network, and infrastructure security, including OWASP, DAST, SCA, SAST, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product teams.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: experience in regulated healthcare environments, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and EHR integrations or health plan data exchange.
  • Preferred: experience in startup or high-growth environments with high ownership and end-to-end delivery responsibility.
  • Preferred: experience designing or integrating AI or ML-powered product features such as prediction models, workflow automation, or retrieval-augmented systems.
  • Preferred: track record of identifying and driving system-level improvements aligned to business objectives.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
