Description

  • Take full ownership of the backend infrastructure and make critical technical decisions.
  • Architect and build high-performance, scalable backend systems for logistics operations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain production APIs and backend capabilities from the ground up.
  • Optimize MySQL performance and Eloquent ORM usage for high-traffic transaction systems.
  • Build and integrate third-party APIs using REST, JSON, and webhooks.
  • Implement clean-architecture backend systems using Laravel and related patterns.
  • Develop and maintain queue-based and Redis-backed infrastructure.
  • Apply testing practices such as TDD with PHPUnit or Pest.
  • Collaborate remotely with product and DevOps teams to deliver backend solutions.
  • Mentor other developers and provide architectural oversight.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of heavy Laravel development experience.
  • 6-7+ years of hands-on API development experience.
  • Deep, demonstrable experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining production APIs.
  • Proven experience integrating with external APIs, including authentication, webhooks, error handling, and data consistency.
  • Direct experience managing complex, high-traffic applications.
  • Strong SQL indexing and database performance tuning skills.
  • Architectural oversight capability and a proven track record of mentoring other developers.
  • Excellent and fluent English speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a 100% remote role and collaborate effectively across video calls.
  • Deep understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and the Repository pattern is preferred.
  • Experience with Laravel latest versions, Redis, queue systems, Inertia.js, or Livewire is preferred.
