Description

  • Lead the technical execution and delivery of large, complex projects from planning through rollout and maintenance.
  • Provide architectural guidance and own the long-term health, quality, and evolution of the codebase and systems.
  • Champion and implement an AI-driven SDLC using agent-based building techniques.
  • Lead engineering design discussions, gather feedback, and build consensus on best practices and patterns.
  • Coordinate with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to align technical work with team and organizational goals.
  • Take full-cycle ownership of projects, including risk management, security review, testing, and deployment.
  • Make high-quality technical contributions across the full stack, including light infrastructure and a Ruby on Rails monolith.
  • Mentor L5 engineers and help grow the skills and capabilities of the team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a senior full-stack engineer with significant technical leadership experience.
  • 6+ years of deep expertise in Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Strong front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally including Stimulus JS or React.
  • Comfort with Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience owning complex systems end to end, including architecture, implementation, and long-term maintenance.
  • Solid exposure to Heroku, GCP, or similar cloud environments.
  • Real experience using AI throughout the SDLC and in product development, not just as a side tool.
  • Hands-on experience building with agents, or strong ability and eagerness to ramp up quickly.
  • Preferred: background in FinTech or PropTech.
  • Preferred: prior startup experience.
  • Preferred: experience in SOC2/ISO-compliant environments.
  • Preferred: exposure to fraud detection or identity verification work.
