Description

Lead the technical execution and delivery of large, complex projects from planning through rollout and maintenance.
Provide architectural guidance and own the long-term health, quality, and evolution of the codebase and systems.
Champion and implement an AI-driven SDLC using agent-based building techniques.
Lead engineering design discussions, gather feedback, and build consensus on best practices and patterns.
Coordinate with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to align technical work with team and organizational goals.
Take full-cycle ownership of projects, including risk management, security review, testing, and deployment.
Make high-quality technical contributions across the full stack, including light infrastructure and a Ruby on Rails monolith.
Mentor L5 engineers and help grow the skills and capabilities of the team.

Requirements

7+ years of experience as a senior full-stack engineer with significant technical leadership experience.
6+ years of deep expertise in Ruby on Rails.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
Strong front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally including Stimulus JS or React.
Comfort with Tailwind CSS.
Experience owning complex systems end to end, including architecture, implementation, and long-term maintenance.
Solid exposure to Heroku, GCP, or similar cloud environments.
Real experience using AI throughout the SDLC and in product development, not just as a side tool.
Hands-on experience building with agents, or strong ability and eagerness to ramp up quickly.
Preferred: background in FinTech or PropTech.
Preferred: prior startup experience.
Preferred: experience in SOC2/ISO-compliant environments.
Preferred: exposure to fraud detection or identity verification work.
