Description

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead sales development and oversee a managed-service media sales team with 4-8 directors reporting to the role.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at senior and mid-management levels.
  • Manage the regional sales process from prospecting through close, including pipeline management.
  • Identify, develop, and leverage leads through external relationships and a personal network.
  • Guide clients and internal pursuit teams through value proposition development, deal crafting, pricing, financial structuring, negotiation, and closing.
  • Monitor account performance, track key metrics, analyze trends, and deliver ongoing business reviews to strategic accounts.
  • Research and communicate agency, advertiser, data, vendor, and biddable media market trends to the organization.
  • Own win/loss reviews for new accounts and support efforts to improve sales outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in consultative sales selling digital media, data, and/or SaaS products.
  • 10+ years of sales management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising agency industry.
  • Knowledge of the online media business and underlying technology and research.
  • Excellent relationship-building and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of success and established industry relationships.
  • Strong analytical and consultative skills.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative to get the job done.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Positive attitude.
