Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed backend systems for platform and product capabilities.
  • Own backend services end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, monitoring, and long-term reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering peers to shape product decisions and requirements.
  • Build and evolve Web3 backend components, including protocol integrations and support for new blockchain networks.
  • Implement reliable interactions with smart contracts.
  • Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, security, and observability.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment while balancing speed and correctness.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and productivity.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and mentorship within the engineering team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and building distributed backend systems.
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
  • Hands-on Web3 experience with blockchain systems, dApps, and smart contracts.
  • Excellent knowledge of Golang.
  • Experience with containerized systems, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Postgres (SQL), MongoDB, and Cassandra (NoSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Experience with Python 3.
  • Strong ownership mindset and responsibility for outcomes.
  • Clear, proactive communication in a distributed, async-first team.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions about when to move fast versus go deep.
  • High learning velocity and adaptability, including comfort with AI-driven tools.
  • Prior startup experience with high trust and autonomy is preferred.
  • Located in time zones close to Europe is a plus.
