Description

  • Advise the business on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on the UK.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements including publishing, licensing, IP, SaaS, procurement, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic recommendations.
  • Support cross-border legal projects, corporate governance, and international compliance.
  • Manage intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and IP protection.
  • Drive GDPR compliance, privacy governance, data processing agreements, and cross-border data transfers.
  • Improve contract management, legal documentation standards, and legal operations.
  • Support statutory audits, due diligence projects, and regulatory reviews.
  • Introduce AI-powered legal workflows and automation for drafting, research, document review, compliance monitoring, and knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors across different jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as senior in-house legal counsel or general counsel in an international company.
  • Proven in-house legal experience in the game development industry.
  • Broad international legal experience across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong expertise in UK corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong experience with commercial contracts, licensing, and intellectual property.
  • Ability to work effectively with external counsel in unfamiliar jurisdictions.
  • Business-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate legal risks clearly.
  • Strong ownership and willingness to take responsibility beyond a narrow area of expertise.
  • Passion for improving legal processes through AI and modern legal technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Russian is an advantage.
