Description

  • Provide strategic legal guidance throughout product discovery, development, and launch.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research for digital asset trading and market infrastructure.
  • Draft, structure, negotiate, and manage key counterparty agreements.
  • Advise on compliance obligations, regulatory frameworks, and reputational risks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including product, business, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Manage external counsel and support transaction execution.
  • Develop contract templates, policies, procedures, and playbooks.
  • Deliver legal guidance to executive leadership on complex business issues.
  • Support the growth of the trading solutions business through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of transactional experience reviewing financial transaction agreements, especially lending agreements, prime brokerage agreements, ISDA/CSA, and trade confirmations.
  • Strong understanding of laws and regulations applicable to spot, margin, derivatives, platform trading, and prime brokerage for digital assets.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating digital asset trading agreements, prime brokerage agreements, collateral agreements, margin agreements, loan agreements, settlement terms, ISDAs, confirmations, master confirmations, disclosures, and risk factors.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting digital asset business models.
  • Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts to the digital asset space for institutional clients.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or early-stage company.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to produce quality work in a high-volume environment.
  • Creative, pragmatic problem-solver with a self-starter mindset.
  • JD preferred.
  • Comfort working independently and leading medium-to-large projects.
