Description

  • Translate leadership strategy into a sequenced backlog of user stories, problems, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
  • Keep work thin-sliced and maintain a disciplined backlog refinement and sprint readiness cadence.
  • Use hands-on DevOps and cloud experience to understand user workflows, identify friction, and prioritize meaningful product improvements.
  • Speak regularly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to validate ideas, test assumptions, and pressure-test tradeoffs.
  • Act as an embedded member of the engineering team, collaborating daily on sequencing, technical tradeoffs, and delivery planning.
  • Ensure product cohesion across UX, APIs, data, and operational behavior with a strong focus on reliability and customer trust.
  • Define success metrics for the component and ensure releases are measurable and tied to outcomes.
  • Own release readiness, including documentation, enablement inputs, and communication of what is new and why it matters.
  • Design product requirements that address cloud security, IAM boundaries, auditability, guardrails, and safe defaults.
  • Partner with security, support, and customer teams to anticipate edge cases and build trust over time.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Product Manager or Technical Product Owner role.
  • 2–5 years of experience working closely with public cloud infrastructure in production environments.
  • 3+ years of product management experience in products relevant to the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Strong product sense for turning ambiguous problems into clear scope and shipped value.
  • Deep curiosity and technical fluency in cloud fundamentals, including identity/IAM, networking, compute, Kubernetes, observability, automation, and cost/billing concepts.
  • Experience building solutions that leverage or focus on cloud fundamentals and Kubernetes-related technologies.
  • Coding experience is a plus for collaborating with engineers and reasoning about feasibility.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas simply and engage confidently with customers and experts.
  • A bias for action and continuous improvement, with an ability to ship, measure, learn, and iterate.
  • Preferred experience with developer tools, infrastructure, and SaaS platforms, direct work with a founder or early-stage startup, or a background in analytics, growth, or UX research.
