Description

  • Lead a team of engineers and own both delivery and team development.
  • Drive continuous improvement through fast iterations and a strong operating cadence.
  • Develop engineers through 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and candid feedback.
  • Build future leaders, including tech leads, senior engineers, and staff-level ICs.
  • Write and review code and contribute as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Guide architectural and technical design decisions with senior ICs.
  • Maintain engineering standards through pull-request review and a healthy release process.
  • Own roadmap commitments, planning, prioritization, and delivery execution.
  • Partner with Product and the Technical Product Owner on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
  • Communicate clearly with leadership and collaborate across Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products running in production on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience owning availability, cost, and customer-facing product surfaces.
  • API-first product mindset.
  • Strong background in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.
  • Deep technical fluency in a primary engineering stack, including the ability to read, write, and review code at a senior level.
  • Track record of improving an engineering team’s delivery velocity, technical quality, or team caliber.
  • Strong philosophy on high-performing engineering teams, hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
  • Excellent judgment under pressure and direct, candid communication skills.
  • Bonus: established AI-augmented workflow and experience applying AI tools or agentic workflows.
