Description

Lead a team of engineers and own both delivery and team development.
Drive continuous improvement through fast iterations and a strong operating cadence.
Develop engineers through 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and candid feedback.
Build future leaders, including tech leads, senior engineers, and staff-level ICs.
Write and review code and contribute as a hands-on technical leader.
Guide architectural and technical design decisions with senior ICs.
Maintain engineering standards through pull-request review and a healthy release process.
Own roadmap commitments, planning, prioritization, and delivery execution.
Partner with Product and the Technical Product Owner on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
Communicate clearly with leadership and collaborate across Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams.

Requirements

10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
Hands-on experience building cloud-based SaaS products running in production on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience owning availability, cost, and customer-facing product surfaces.
API-first product mindset.
Strong background in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.
Deep technical fluency in a primary engineering stack, including the ability to read, write, and review code at a senior level.
Track record of improving an engineering team’s delivery velocity, technical quality, or team caliber.
Strong philosophy on high-performing engineering teams, hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
Excellent judgment under pressure and direct, candid communication skills.
Bonus: established AI-augmented workflow and experience applying AI tools or agentic workflows.
Bonus: experience with more than one cloud provider.
