Description

  • Own the payments platform end to end and drive its roadmap forward.
  • Audit and improve the dunning and rebill recovery stack to reduce involuntary churn.
  • Evaluate, compare, and manage payment vendors, including decisions to optimize, switch, or layer solutions.
  • Improve initial authorization rates through routing optimization, network tokenization, express checkout, and experimentation.
  • Write product specifications and partner with engineering to ship payments improvements.
  • Pull, analyze, and report metrics directly from the data warehouse and BI tools.
  • Negotiate vendor SLAs and manage external payment provider relationships.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership, including the CFO.
  • Own issue resolution when payments systems break, without a separate payments ops team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payments product or payments program management in subscription or e-commerce environments.
  • Hands-on experience with payment orchestration platforms and multi-MID routing.
  • Experience with dunning and recovery, including retry logic, involuntary churn metrics, and vendor evaluation.
  • Strong self-sufficiency with modern BI tools and direct data analysis.
  • Demonstrated daily use of LLMs and agentic AI tools in product work; this is a required qualification.
  • Comfort with chargebacks, fraud posture, and regulatory compliance context.
  • Experience working with a modern payments stack, including orchestration, BNPL, and checkout optimization (preferred).
