Description

  • Own delivery outcomes across all products, including scope management, release cadence, quality controls, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Design, implement, and continuously refine the human-agent engineering workflow for coding, testing, review, and documentation.
  • Build and enforce maker-checker quality gates and escalation protocols for AI-generated output.
  • Define and govern approved AI tools, IP protection practices, and PHI-safe agent workflows.
  • Directly manage the engineering team through hiring, coaching, performance management, feedback, conflict resolution, and retention.
  • Own full-stack system architecture across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, and AI integrations.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, environments, deployment automation, and predictable release processes.
  • Own engineering security posture, including access controls, secrets management, audit trails, and SDLC security.
  • Lead hiring and team-building efforts, including role definition, technical interviews, and hiring decisions.
  • Establish engineering processes, documentation, and operating rhythms that support reliable execution and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • First-principles thinker who can solve unfamiliar engineering and organizational problems from fundamentals.
  • High learning velocity and comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • Ownership-oriented mindset with experience creating order in chaotic delivery situations.
  • Startup experience, with a track record of shipping real products to real users under deadlines.
  • Technical credibility to write and review code, debug production issues, and evaluate system architecture.
  • Direct, fair leadership style with experience giving candid feedback and resolving conflict effectively.
  • Strong academic foundation from IIT, NIT, BITS, or a demonstrably equivalent rigorous technical program.
  • Experience building and leading engineering teams of roughly 5-15 people at startups or high-growth companies.
  • Experience shipping SaaS products, not just maintaining existing systems.
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted development.
  • Healthcare or healthtech experience, especially with compliance, PHI handling, or clinical workflows, preferred.
  • Thoughtful views on AI governance, including IP, security, quality, and audit considerations.

  • Approximately 6 hours overlap with US Pacific time.
