Description

  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects to strengthen supplier quality programs and procedures.
  • Use lean and Six Sigma quality tools to resolve non-conformances and customer RMAs.
  • Manage supplier-related NCR, SCAR, and CAR activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and AS9100 quality management requirements.
  • Analyze non-conformance trends and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Investigate and follow up on troubled orders and manufactured part rejections to improve supplier quality.
  • Apply manufacturing engineering knowledge to ensure quality hardware meets customer requirements.
  • Participate in QA and RMA live review meetings and support onsite customer audits.
  • Interface with Design Engineering, Customer Care, Quality, Sales, Shipping, suppliers, and leadership to support quality and satisfaction.
  • Support quality management system requirements, internal quality measures, continuous improvement activities, and the quality control lab as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or equivalent role.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a supplier-facing role or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawing requirements.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and identify solutions to complex problems.
  • Self-starter who can drive actions to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and support supplier quality field activities.
  • Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA and DFM/DFQ.
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge and ability to read and interpret CAD models and drawings.
  • Strong time management and project management capabilities.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies and process certification/process robustness.
  • Superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • Education, skills, or experience in statistics or big data preferred.
  • Experience using GD&T and quality lab equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk, Asana, SolidWorks, and Tableau preferred.
