Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend and frontend systems that power the core platform.
  • Deliver solutions through APIs with workflow automation as the default approach.
  • Own end-to-end solutions from problem definition and success metrics through implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders to translate onboarding, subscription, and lifecycle needs into scalable product experiences.
  • Build and maintain integrations with CRM, product catalog, entitlement, payment, and identity/KYC systems.
  • Help evolve shared libraries and framework standards used across engineering.
  • Make technical decisions that balance security, performance, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Improve observability, system reliability, and engineering practices across the platform.
  • Stay curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted engineering workflows and developer tooling.
  • Work on production systems that support compliance for solopreneurs across European markets and participate in on-call ownership.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework in production environments.
  • Experience with Python and React is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience building customer onboarding, activation, subscriptions/billing, CRM, or other customer-facing lifecycle systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering integrations with CRM, payment, and identity/KYC providers.
  • Solid understanding of subscription and billing models and customer onboarding flows, including their tradeoffs and constraints.
  • Confidence with SQL and designing database schemas that perform well under real user load.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Experience working in startup or scale-up environments with evolving priorities and a high level of ownership.
  • Outcome-oriented mindset with interest in how engineering work impacts customers and the business.
  • Interest in AI tools and how they can improve engineering workflows and products.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or data science concepts in a product engineering environment is a plus.
  • Experience building or experimenting with AI-powered features or automations is a plus.
  • Proven contributions to engineering excellence and developer experience are a plus.
  • Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider, with interest in infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and containers is a plus.

  • Compensation of 60,000 to 69,000 EUR annual gross, depending on experience and seniority.
