Description

  • Own and ship core AI-powered product features from problem definition through production deployment and measurement.
  • Design, build, and optimize production LLM systems, including RAG pipelines, AI agents, embedding workflows, evaluation frameworks, and fine-tuning pipelines.
  • Make architecture and system design decisions across backend services, SQL and vector databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Translate vague, high-impact business problems into clear technical solutions and iterate based on user and business feedback.
  • Work deeply within the marketing, SEO, GEO, and content automation domain to make sound product and engineering trade-offs.
  • Evaluate engineering decisions based on their impact on user outcomes, revenue, and retention.
  • Collaborate directly with founders and cross-functional teams as a product-minded engineer.
  • Operate with full autonomy and minimal hand-holding while driving projects forward.
  • Measure the impact of shipped work and use results to guide iteration and improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python as the primary programming language.
  • Solid understanding of system design, API design, SQL and vector databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of production experience building and shipping LLM systems such as RAG pipelines, agents, embeddings, evals, or fine-tuning.
  • Ability to explain the difference between RAG and fine-tuning and when to use each.
  • Demonstrated ability to take vague problems, define the solution, build it, and measure impact independently.
  • Track record of shipping autonomously and iterating based on real user and business feedback.
  • Willingness and ability to learn a business domain deeply enough to make strong product decisions.
  • Consistently connects engineering decisions to customer outcomes, revenue impact, and retention metrics.
  • Open-source contributions or a published technical blog demonstrating depth of thinking (preferred).
  • Experience with GEO, SEO, AI search, or content automation systems (preferred).
  • Founding engineer or 0-to-1 product experience at an early-stage startup (preferred).
  • Experience at AI-native startups, Trilogy/Crossover, or high-bar FAANG teams (preferred).
