Description

  • Own and optimize Azure infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual servers, monitoring, patching, backups, scaling, and performance.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and data governance.
  • Manage Entra ID, SSO, conditional access, provisioning, dynamic groups, and guest access governance.
  • Automate identity lifecycle processes, SaaS provisioning, and IT operations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and related platforms.
  • Manage Windows, Mac, and mobile device fleets through enrollment, Autopilot, compliance policies, application deployment, and patching.
  • Build and administer cybersecurity capabilities, including MDR, email security, DNS/web filtering, and vulnerability management.
  • Participate in incident response, investigations, root-cause analysis, containment, and security compliance improvements.
  • Serve as a final escalation point for complex IT support issues and participate in a rare critical-outage on-call rotation.
  • Maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, and change-management processes.
  • Collaborate with department stakeholders to migrate, configure, size, and improve cloud, SaaS, and specialized business tools.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience engineering systems for a hybrid or remote workforce of 50 or more employees.
  • Experience managing mission-critical Azure Virtual Desktop and application-specific servers.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including conditional access, provisioning, identity governance, and administration.
  • Experience managing distributed endpoint and mobile fleets using Intune, NinjaOne, Workspace ONE, or comparable tools.
  • Proven PowerShell experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high-trust role with a zero-trust security mindset.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills, including explaining technical issues in plain language.
  • Ability to work remotely from California, Colorado, Arizona, or Oregon and travel to offices approximately 1–2 times per year.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform occasional physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working under furniture.
  • Preferred experience with CAD/GIS applications, platform migrations, Microsoft certifications, CMMC/NIST frameworks, ITSM integrations, data retention, or UniFi Network and Protect.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $125,000–$145,000.
