Description

  • Own the quality strategy for a major product area across features, integrations, and data flows.
  • Develop deep expertise in the domain’s business logic and identify risk areas before implementation begins.
  • Translate ambiguous requirements into structured, comprehensive test strategies in Qase.
  • Design complex, multi-system test scenarios that validate real-world workflows and failure states.
  • Execute advanced exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and hidden defects.
  • Lead regression strategy for the domain and evolve coverage as the product grows.
  • Partner with automation engineers to prioritize and expand automation coverage over time.
  • Analyze defect trends and recommend systemic improvements to reduce recurring issues.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions to improve testability and mitigate risk.
  • Communicate release risk, tradeoffs, and quality concerns to engineering and product leadership.
  • Mentor other Quality Analysts and help improve testing rigor, documentation quality, and risk awareness.
  • Raise the standard for acceptance criteria and definition of done across the team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality analysis.
  • Proven experience owning quality for complex product domains.
  • Strong ability to work with ambiguous requirements and turn them into structured validation plans.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying systemic risk beyond surface-level bugs.
  • Advanced experience designing comprehensive test strategies in Qase or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data validation.
  • Ability to analyze defect patterns and influence process or architectural improvements.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other QA team members.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting risk assessments to leadership.
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, or DataDog is relevant to the environment.
