Description

  • Build scalable infrastructure-as-code patterns with Terraform to standardize provisioning and reduce configuration drift.
  • Own and evolve Kubernetes platforms, including EKS or self-managed environments, for secure and resilient workloads.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment frequency, lead time, and release confidence.
  • Design and enforce secure networking, IAM, and secrets-management strategies.
  • Improve observability through metrics, logs, and tracing with tools such as DataDog.
  • Optimize cloud costs through rightsizing, autoscaling, and architectural improvements.
  • Develop disaster recovery, backup, and multi-region resilience strategies.
  • Modernize manually managed infrastructure into automated, testable, and reproducible systems.
  • Introduce infrastructure tools and architectures, driving adoption through documentation and technical support.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams on deployments, cloud environments, incident response, and technical trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Production experience designing and operating Kubernetes environments at scale.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud networking.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining Terraform modules across large cloud environments.
  • Ownership of CI/CD systems and demonstrated improvement of DORA metrics.
  • Experience leading incident response and delivering meaningful postmortem outcomes.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, Kafka-based event-driven architectures, and PostgreSQL performance.
  • Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure and eliminating manual operational toil.
  • Ability to take ambiguous infrastructure projects from definition through production independently.
  • Ability to build cross-team trust while improving reliability.
  • Experience with application development, high-throughput Kafka, PostgreSQL or Redis tuning, autoscaling, service meshes, internal developer platforms, security practices, or multi-region systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with reliability frameworks such as SLOs, error budgets, and chaos testing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, DataDog, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Bash, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Remote employees must travel to Orlando, Florida at least twice annually and attend orientation in Orlando.
