Description

  • Own full sets of accounts for multiple APJ and EMEA entities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, including payroll, bank transactions, accruals, prepaids, and month-end adjustments.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations in FloQast.
  • Conduct flux analysis before period close to identify unusual variances and accounting issues.
  • Ensure transactions are correctly coded in the general ledger and comply with internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain detailed reconciliation schedules, supporting documentation, and corrective entries.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and cross-functional stakeholders to improve and automate accrual processes.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across global entities.
  • Monitor daily bank transaction posting and reconciliation in Oracle NetSuite.
  • Manage third-party accounting service providers and oversee close deliverables and management reporting.
  • Prepare audit schedules and resolve audit queries across global entities.
  • Help develop accounting policies, procedures, controls, and system/process improvements in support of IPO readiness and scalability.
  • Drive the use of AI and automation in finance operations.
  • Manage indirect tax compliance, including VAT, GST, and other statutory filings for international entities.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders on local regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, Tax, and service providers to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience as a General Accountant or Senior Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP such as JGAAP and IGAAP.
  • Experience handling multiple entities; experience with US, EMEA, and APJ entities is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • Intercompany elimination and consolidation experience.
  • Big 4 experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered accounting tools, automation platforms such as Workato or UiPath, or machine learning applications in finance is a strong advantage.
  • A growth mindset toward adopting emerging AI technologies is essential.
