Description

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming manner and create an inviting clinic atmosphere.
  • Schedule new referrals received by fax or phone from patients and physician offices.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and collect patient payments at the time of service.
  • Support patient intake and practice management processes to help drive clinic growth.
  • Convert referrals into evaluations and schedule patient visits efficiently.
  • Manage the daily schedule, document routing, non-clinical documentation, deposits, and other front-office workflows.
  • Monitor caseload, discharge candidates, progress notes, insurance reporting, and clinic inventory.
  • Complete quarterly compliance training and participate in required business process updates.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinic Director to maintain efficient clinic procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience, with 3 years preferred, in revenue cycle, Medicare, and commercial insurance in a high-production environment.
  • Experience with claim follow-up, including researching, tracking, and resolving unpaid, denied, or pending insurance claims.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance reimbursement processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with insurance payers, patients, business office staff, and field leadership.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain organizational detail, meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.
  • Efficient time management and presentation skills as part of a team.
  • Ability to use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing software, and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to complete required compliance training and adapt to business process updates.
