Description

  • Build, maintain, and deploy features across a modern JavaScript/TypeScript full-stack (Next.js frontends and NestJS backends).
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools daily to accelerate coding, refactoring, and documentation.
  • Experiment with and integrate LLM-powered features into applications for content generation, personalization, and intelligent interfaces.
  • Contribute to and maintain the shared Shadcn + Chakra UI component library and the internal Storefronts styleguide.
  • Evolve and maintain shared TypeScript data models across the monorepo to keep frontends, backends, and integrations in sync.
  • Integrate with Shopify APIs, analytics systems, and other internal or third-party data sources.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define, design, and deliver features from concept to production amid evolving requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable code, contribute to testing, documentation, and code reviews, and balance speed with long-term quality.
  • Own feature delivery from implementation through deployment, working within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Operate comfortably amid ambiguity by making pragmatic trade-offs and running small experiments to validate ideas quickly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Proficiency with React or a React-adjacent framework and ability to implement and style components from UX/UI designs.
  • Proven experience delivering working software across analysis, design, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and key-value/datastore systems (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Ability to work with good overlap with Eastern time hours (US time zone alignment).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Preferred: experience deploying or optimizing Next.js apps on Vercel and familiarity with serverless runtimes or edge functions (e.g., Vercel Edge Runtime).
  • Preferred: experience with NestJS backend frameworks, building data visualizations or dashboards, and familiarity with checkout optimization/cart personalization in e‑commerce.
  • Preferred: proficiency with AWS infrastructure and deployment tools and an appreciation for component craftsmanship and consistent theming.
