Description

  • Lead mission-critical data center engineering projects and oversee project scope and schedule.
  • Design and support HVAC and mechanical systems for data centers, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled cooling solutions.
  • Perform cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, airflow analysis, and mechanical system modeling for high-density IT environments.
  • Use CFD modeling software such as 6Sigma to analyze airflow, thermal performance, and cooling effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate HVAC alternatives, redundancy strategies, and cooling solutions for clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform technical and QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant, high-quality engineering deliverables.
  • Develop and modify mechanical and plumbing models, plans, details, and drawings according to applicable standards.
  • Present HVAC and plumbing design concepts, system alternatives, and engineering solutions in design reviews and coordination meetings.
  • Mentor, motivate, and inspire team members.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal employees when necessary.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in a related field and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
  • Experience with building HVAC system design for commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, aviation, hospitality, and/or high-rise projects preferred.
  • Experience designing sustainable building systems, including familiarity with LEED, Green Building Institute, or similar sustainability credentials.
  • Experience with discipline-related software applications and calculation tools.
  • Substantial experience designing in Autodesk Revit 3-D modeling software and directing the preparation of construction documents.
  • Experience conducting and leading QA/QC and coordinating design documents between disciplines.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with MS Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, and the MS Office suite.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and the business community.
  • Ability to write technical opinions, articles, and thought leadership content.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites or offices as needed.
  • Applicants must already have work authorization in the country where the job is located; visa sponsorship is not available.
