Description

  • Perform multibeam and singlebeam hydrographic surveys in the field.
  • Conduct GNSS topographic surveys and GNSS/optical horizontal and vertical control surveys.
  • Mobilize survey vessels for project work.
  • Perform terrestrial LiDAR surveys in the field.
  • Process multibeam and singlebeam survey data in the office.
  • Process and adjust GNSS static control network data.
  • Work with AutoCAD Civil 3D on survey deliverables and data workflows.
  • Process mobile and static terrestrial LiDAR survey data.
  • Support projects that involve travel throughout the year, including extended field deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, environmental science, ocean engineering, geology, geography, spatial science, marine science, or a comparable field.
  • Applicants must already have work authorization in the country where the job is located; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Ability to travel approximately 100 days per year.
  • Self-motivated, quick learning, curious, resourceful, and flexible.
  • Common-sense approach to business operations and workload management.
  • Interest and desire to work in a marine-focused organization.
  • LSIT is preferred.
  • Experience using Global Mapper is preferred.
  • Experience with marine software such as QINSy, CARIS, or EIVA Beamworks is preferred.
  • Experience gathering GPS data with Trimble GPS hardware and software and performing data processing is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software, MS Visio, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Experience with LiDAR processing is preferred.
  • Experience with 3D visualization is preferred.
  • Small vessel and coastal waterways experience is preferred.
