Description

  • Advise airport clients on the design, repair, refurbishment, relocation, and installation of vertical airside facilities.
  • Support funding applications for aviation and airport projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the FAA, airports, and other clients to identify opportunities and solve client problems.
  • Support architecture and engineering leads in delivering projects through design, bid, construction, and installation phases.
  • Develop project scope and fees and perform quality reviews of architectural, engineering, and work plan documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and planning staff to address complex airfield infrastructure projects.
  • Execute technical tasks within budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Support business development by building a pipeline of new and existing aviation opportunities and partnerships.
  • Maintain a thought-leader profile by writing aviation articles and presenting at conferences.
  • Track and forecast practice metrics such as backlog, profit and loss, sales, net revenue, utilization, and travel expenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of related work experience required; 10+ years preferred.
  • RA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with airport and airport operations knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow technical data.
  • Willingness to travel to clients, conferences, and other Woolpert offices 1-2 times per month.
  • General knowledge of AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit preferred.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of FAA Orders, standards, safety systems, and certification processes.
  • Must already possess work authorization in the country where the job is located; visa sponsorship is not available.
