Description

  • Own product development end to end, from customer discovery and concept validation through MVP development, launch, and first revenue.
  • Conduct continuous discovery with retailers, CPG brands, category managers, and merchandisers to identify validated problems and willingness to pay.
  • Define lean MVP scope, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Translate WISEcode’s food data, scoring systems, and ingredient intelligence into products customers will adopt and purchase.
  • Lead pilot engagements with retail and CPG partners and convert successful pilots into repeatable products.
  • Collaborate with Science, Data, and Engineering teams, facilitating agile ceremonies and making prioritization decisions.
  • Create concept briefs, product specifications, decision logs, and other documentation.
  • Define evaluation criteria for AI/LLM-powered features and measure product and model quality.
  • Support customer demos, RFP responses, and commercial follow-ups while incorporating market feedback into the roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including personally shipped software products as the PM of record.
  • Required experience developing software products for grocery retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies.
  • Experience taking at least one product from concept through first release and first revenue.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, including structured interviews and validated problem definition.
  • Technical fluency with data, APIs, and AI/LLM-based systems sufficient to scope work with engineering teams.
  • Ability to align scientists, engineers, executives, and external partners without formal authority.
  • Exceptional written communication and facilitation skills for briefs, specifications, and executive updates.
  • Curiosity and scientific literacy; background or genuine interest in food, nutrition, or health data preferred.
