Description

  • Answer calls from patients and referring doctors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
  • Provide patient-centered customer service and support throughout the patient experience.
  • Make follow-up calls to referring physicians after patient visits to express appreciation and strengthen relationships.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with medical providers.
  • Perform insurance verification and support basic billing-related administrative tasks.
  • Assist with general administrative coordination and documentation.
  • Use iFax or similar tools for communication and record handling.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and efficient day-to-day workflows.
  • Support the practice’s goals for excellent service, physician follow-up, and insurance accuracy.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service background, preferably in healthcare.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Confident, professional, and personable phone presence.
  • Experience communicating with patients and/or medical professionals.
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • High level of reliability and professionalism.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Virtual Medical Receptionist, or in a similar healthcare role (preferred).
  • Experience with EHR or EMR systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with iFax or similar fax/document systems (preferred).
  • Experience with patient scheduling, intake, and front desk operations (preferred).
  • Exposure to insurance verification or healthcare administrative workflows (preferred).
  • Must be proficient in clear English speaking and writing.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when required.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop computer.
  • Must have a high-speed internet connection of at least 15 Mbps.
  • Must have a noise-canceling headset and webcam.
  • Must be able to work from a quiet, professional environment.
