Description

  • Submit dental insurance claims through electronic claims submission systems.
  • Support the transition from manual to electronic claims processing.
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding insurance claims.
  • Post payments and reconcile insurance payments.
  • Investigate and resolve billing and reimbursement issues.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, benefits, and reimbursement status.
  • Answer inbound calls, make outbound calls, and manage patient and insurance coordination.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments and respond to emails.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in Eaglesoft or similar practice management systems.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in medical billing or dental billing is required.
  • Dental billing experience is highly preferred, though strong medical billing experience is acceptable.
  • Strong knowledge of claims submission, accounts receivable, insurance verification, and payment posting.
  • Experience using insurance portals and electronic claims submission systems.
  • Experience following up on denied, delayed, or outstanding insurance claims.
  • Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred.
  • Experience with similar dental practice management software such as Open Dental is also encouraged.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Strong professional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer, stable high-speed internet of at least 25 Mbps, noise-canceling headset, webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.

  • $5 to $7 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Part-time schedule with weekday hours from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Monday to Friday.
