Description

  • Own the business end-to-end, including P&L, strategy, go-to-market, delivery and quality, security and compliance, and team building.
  • Build the business from zero and help establish the operating engine for the new subsidiary.
  • Acquire new business from AI labs and tier-1 tech companies through your network and outbound outreach.
  • Own enterprise sales cycles end-to-end, including discovery, scoping, pricing, and MSA/SOW negotiation.
  • Attend meetings, consultations, and events in person as needed to build key relationships.
  • Build and expand relationships with researchers, data and infrastructure leaders, procurement teams, and legal stakeholders.
  • Own the business plan, pricing, margin targets, forecasting, and budget adherence.
  • Report progress to senior leadership and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational rigor.

Requirements

  • Primarily located in San Francisco, CA, with willingness to travel throughout Northern California, the United States, and internationally as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, ideally from a top institution.
  • Outgoing, social, and relationship-oriented personality with a strong ability to build connections.
  • Strong management skills and experience overseeing people, budgets, and cross-functional interfaces with finance, legal, and operations.
  • Strong preference for prior leadership in sales and commercial functions.
  • Expertise in complex MSAs/SOWs, pricing strategy, and margin management.
  • Trusted relationships across AI labs and leading tech companies, with the ability to open doors and close enterprise deals.
  • Proven builder of multidisciplinary teams with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Digital native comfort with Google Workspace, Sheets, and CRM tools.
  • Experience selling to or operating within AI labs such as RLHF, red-teaming, evals, and multimodal work is a plus.
  • Prior success taking a services P&L from $0 to $10M+ with healthy unit economics is a plus.
  • Strong interest in and understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and LLMs is a plus.

Benefits

  • Base compensation of $170,000–$250,000, with increases as the business grows.
  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years.
  • Performance bonus potential of $300K–$1M+ in additional annual cash and equity for strong performers.
