Description

  • Assist with audits, reviews, and compilations for commercial clients in accordance with U.S. GAAP and firm policies.
  • Support engagement planning by performing risk assessments, developing audit strategies, and setting timelines.
  • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review staff auditors' work, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve issues, discuss findings, and present audit results.
  • Maintain audit documentation in accordance with firm policies and auditing standards.
  • Manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strengthen client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality service.
  • Stay current on technical accounting and auditing developments.
  • Collaborate with the audit team while also working independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Actively working toward CPA licensure; current CPA license is a plus.
  • 3+ years of recent audit experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on audit and assurance engagements in commercial industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including technical accounting concepts and financial statement presentation requirements.
  • Experience performing and supervising audit procedures, including planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and completion.
  • Ability to prepare and review GAAP financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or reviewing work of staff-level team members.
  • Ability to manage assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word (Microsoft 365); familiarity with ProSystems or CCH is a plus.

  • Part-time availability of approximately 20–30 hours per week.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during typical business hours, with options for evenings and weekends.
