Description

  • Perform translation review and quality assurance for Oriya content.
  • Copy-edit and conduct linguistic checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and style adherence.
  • Provide feedback to translators and freelancers to improve overall quality.
  • Manage and maintain language assets such as glossaries, style guides, and work instructions.
  • Handle linguistic queries from translators, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support collaboration within the translation team by resolving terminology, style, and language issues.
  • Assist with onboarding, development, and training of new linguists and freelancers when needed.
  • Participate in developing new and improved review and quality processes.
  • Meet or exceed quality and productivity KPIs for the role.
  • Work toward goals set by the Squad Lead or Language Lead.

Requirements

  • University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in translation, review, or localization.
  • Native fluency in Oriya.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Solid understanding of the localization process and review workflows.
  • Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
  • Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM, SDL Studio, Polyglot, Mate Cat, ATMS, or fbCAT.
  • Experience with query and issue management tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new localization tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent review and editing skills.
  • Ability to give clear, concise, and constructive feedback to linguists.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent knowledge of terminology management in one or more subject areas.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle varied linguistic issues.
  • Ability and willingness to train and mentor others when required.
  • Positive approach to client and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to work successfully in a virtual, global team.
